A Weekend Exploration in the Creation Spirituality Tradition near Washington, D.C.

Co-hosts Evolve Chesapeake Creation Spirituality Community and the Creation Spirituality Communities network invite visionaries, activists, mystics, healers, artists, dreamers, community-builders, co-creators, and seekers of all paths to this radically inclusive Gathering!

Where: Unitarian Universalist Church of Rockville (UUCR), 100 Welsh Park Drive, Rockville, MD (Sunday the 29th will be at the MLK Memorial and Evolve Chesapeake in Annapolis)

Friday: Build Authentic Connection

• Listen to keynote R(E)volutionary Theologian, the Rev. Matthew Fox, PhD : “Awakening Imagination for Transformation””
• Dialogue with culture-changing Creation Spirituality (CS) movement representatives of vibrant international communities, who nurture and inspire active individuals and networks around the world!
• Create Sacred Art Activism with mixed media artist, Mary Plaster, DMin, MA, “Becoming Dragons” waking up our creative energy for fierce compassion!

Saturday: Occupy Your Heart 

• Learn with  Matthew Fox as he shares intergenerational exchanges taking place on the front lines of social change and calls us to our own inner work for personal courage to dare and insist upon a just world.
• Experience the Four Paths of Creation Spirituality in high-energy “playshops”: exploring awe and wonder in the Universe, the dark night of the soul, vision and co-creation, and action for positive change.
• Participate in our Cosmic Celebration, Dancing with Dragons, a dynamic and joyful communal ritual in the tradition of The Cosmic Mass (TCM), inspired by the fanciful “wild rumpus” of Maurice Sendak!

Sunday: Action and Community

• Join in a joyful, reverential 10 a.m. visit to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, thanking our civil rights activist ancestor and bearing witness for positive change.
• Connect with a local, active and growing CS Community in a late afternoon Picnic and Sacred Gathering at Evolve Chesapeake CSC in Annapolis, MD.
